This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Being the Restorative Justice Coordinator in a middle school is overwhelming but it is also very exciting! I have the opportunity to support both students and staff in creating a culture of empathy and most importantly, kindness!
The items in this project are so important because they will help students learn how to communicate effectively, express their feelings, and resolve conflicts with words to create a positive learning environment for all.
Having a these tools readily accessible will help students to self monitor. These books and journals will give my students to ability to cope and not only help themselves but also help others with their new skills. With all the distractors among teenagers, I want to help continue the love of reading, self-healing, and creating a more empathetic world one journal at a time!
