This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are eager learners who are motivated despite of their language barriers. They are from South Central Los Angeles and are English Language Learners. They strive everyday to succeed always try their best and never give up. They are scholars and future world changers!

My Project

These new books will help me create a diverse library for my students to enjoy. My students truly enjoy spending time in our classroom library and they would benefit from STEAM, Social Emotional and diverse books at their grade level.

New books will give my students the opportunity to choose from a variety of books that will spark their interest and lifelong love for reading.

I will be able to continue our daily chapter books read-aloud by adding new series of their favorite books: Junie B. Jones and The Magic Tree House.
