Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
A majority of my former kindergarteners will be looping up to first grade with me for the 19-20 school year. A new grade level, and a fresh school year brings forth new needs to engage and challenge my students.
My students make up a wonderfully diverse community that I am proud to be a part of.
I look forward to growing and learning with this awesome class for another year! I can't wait to see what these students will accomplish this school year.
My Project
The items chosen for this project will be used to transform our classroom into a place that the students look forward to spending time in everyday.
I poured my heart and energy into "Kinderland", and I want our new first grade classroom to be just as warm and welcoming.
The Lakeshore rug will be used to keep students organized for whole groups learning and classroom discussions. The little couches will be used to make the classroom library a place that no one wants to leave.
I can't wait to see the look on my student's faces when they see our new LEGO themed first grade classroom.
