it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a teacher for 6th, 7th and 8th grade students I have been teaching for the last 5 years, and am approaching my 6th year. Time flies when you're having fun! It's safe to say that my students, and I have a good time learning. I teach at a Title I school, which means that sometimes my students & their families can't afford the basic necessities. My students live in a variety of housing situations, from a motel room, sharing a house with other families, and sometimes, living in a foster situation. My students have a range of disabilities, such as dyslexia/learning disabilities and at times, have extensive trauma. Given the global needs of my students, sometimes parents cannot afford school supplies. Unfortunately, this means that when it comes to back-to-school supplies, my students often don't have what they need to start school off successfully. I am asking for for a Cricut machine & accessories that will give my students, fellow staff and myself at my school site the opportunity to engage in self-expression through poster and bulletin board design.
