My Students

I have been delighted with the most ambitious, hardworking, and persistent kindergarteners in the Pacific Northwest. This unique bunch came together to create our integrated kindergarten program. This program is comprised of students with special needs and typically developing peers working together to navigate the wonderful land of kindergarten.

We are a community of thoughtful, intentional, and tolerant citizens who value and appreciate the individual needs of each person that walks through our door.

We are accomplishing more than academics, we are striving for loving and intellectual community members.

I am so thankful for my class, they are ready and eager for any challenge I bring forth. They explore, create, and engage in every activity. The smiles and laughter make each day worth it. Watching them grow and learn has been the highlight of my year.

My Project

As a teacher for students with special needs, we often (actually always) need individualized resources and materials that meet each student's specific needs. I want to make file folder activities in math, reading, and cognitive skills that allow kids opportunities to practice what they are learning.

These materials are the foundational pieces that our class needs to propel us forward and keep our learning at an appropriate level for each student.

We are able to make practice folders for addition, subtraction, counting, color matching, letter identification, word segmenting, pattern forming, and more.

Buying small/simple materials left and right has been and can add up financially. I appreciate your willingness to help supply our room with basic necessities to keep our class reaching for the stars.
