Building Independence Through Learning

My Students

My class serves kindergarten through second grade. All of my students qualify for special education. My students have a range of abilities and challenges. Most of my students need many breaks between working tasks. They are very sweet and all special in their own way. The items we are asking for will allow students to explore their goals and have so much fun they forget they are learning. They will be able to move and manipulate letters and numbers as well as sight words and counters. The students will learn independence as they are able to play solo or with friends.

My Project

My students are working on building their independence through educators games. They each have goals that decrease their dependence on teachers and help them to self advocate, follow rules and increase skills. With your help they will get the games and tools they need in order to successfully work independently. These games will create an errorless work/game situation for students to have total success while practicing what they have learned through individualized small group instruction. Each student will be able to find success and positive reinforcement while having a great time doing it. Thank you for impacting my students in such a positive way.
