This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help me build my classroom library with more engaging books! My classroom library is a place in my classroom that students enjoy but often run out of books that they are interested in. As part of their ongoing projects in my classroom, students will choose a book to read independently that aligns with the topic of their project. These books will help give my students options that are of both high-interest and align with their topics.

Not only does this classroom library support my on-level students but it also targets my students that need reading support.

Each week, students engage in independent reading time to help them practice their reading skills. These books will help engage them as they are high-interest books including graphic novels and popular books written in Spanish in order to help my students reach their reading goals.
