Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
At our school, we are proud to have an extraordinary team of educators, staff, and itinerant specialists dedicated to creating a supportive learning environment for all students, including those with special educational needs.
Our students thrive with individualized approaches and engaging materials that promote language acquisition and effective communication.
As a Speech and Language Pathologist, I am committed to guiding our students in developing the essential skills needed to express their thoughts, feelings, and needs confidently.
To support this mission, we are seeking materials that will help our students grasp challenging concepts while making learning fun and interactive. Carefully selected resources such as puzzles, emotion-themed toys, stickers, and ABC robots will not only encourage language development but also reinforce social-emotional learning and problem-solving skills.
The Lakeshore Community & Career Theme Box is another key resource we hope to add to our collection. This educational tool will introduce our students to various community roles, teaching them about the important people who help our society function. Through hands-on exploration, they will be inspired to see themselves as vital members of their community, just like the individuals they learn about.
