My Students

My students are very eager to learn. I love to provide them with the best learning environment. I teach 19 energetic six- and seven-year-olds each day in a first grade classroom. We are moving, dancing, and learning in all areas of our room.

My Project

Throughout my years of teaching it has become evident to me that my first graders learn best with hands on materials that not only strengthen their education but also create imagination and creativity. I have observed students become enthusiastic and eager when provided with STEM materials such as blocks, tracks, tubes etc.

By providing my students with PicassoTiles, Play Brainy 101 Pieces Magnetic Cubes, and Coogam Wooden Tower Stacking Game, their knowledge of math will expand beyond what they would learn with just pencil and paper.

Students will also strengthen skills such as team work and cooperation when using these materials such as Snap-Bots and 100 Piece Triple Loop Wooden Train Set. I look forward to watching my students create endless architectural opportunities that will strengthen their confidence when learning about STEM.
