Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are learning two languages (English and Mandarin) simultaneously. This project will impact both the kindergarten and 1st grade Mandarin Dual Language programs.
Many students come back to school from their summer break with limited practice using fine motor skills.
This project will help students build fine motor skills to help them in daily writing lessons. Students will be able to use the beads and lacing to create patterns while also building fine motor skills. Students will also be able to use the letter and number activities, using scoops and tongs, to build letter and number recognition and learning how to work with a partner all while building their fine motor skills. These materials will be a fun way for students to build their fine motor skills without even realizing this will help them with writing.
Not only will students build fine motor skills through play, but they will also have an opportunity to participate in partner and group activities to build positive relationships with their classmates.
Help me give my students an opportunity to make learning fun and engaging.
