Building Financial Literacy through Math Manipulatives!

My Project

My fifth graders are fantastic! My students come to school everyday with a smile on their face ready to learn. This year I am making a concerted effort to establish a solid math literacy foundation. My fifth graders attend a Title I school and live in a low socioeconomic community. With hardships like generational poverty and homelessness, Financial literacy is necessary to break through the financial barriers that my students and their families face.

Please help me give my students learning materials such as cash registers, play money, place value white boards, and math manipulatives to build their financial literacy!
