My Students

I teach 21 Kindergarteners in Sacramento, CA. This young group has set the standard. I am a 1st-year teacher who took over a kindergarten class mid-year. I am proud to say I teach in the community I grew up in and love having this connection with my students. They are bright, full of life, and oozing with kindness.

These 21 little human beings amaze me every day.

We have built a community that embraces kindness, equity, and understanding. We are working on independence and building ownership of our education. In this class, we work smart and fix our focus lens along the way.

My Project

Children need a strong foundation early on in life to build strong money habits. Learning about money and finance can lead them on the road to success and prepare our children for the working world. Financial literacy is vital for their survival as an adult and a necessary skill for all our children due to its last impact on their lives.

I hope to instill the importance of financial responsibility at a young age in order to prepare our future generation for our growing economy.

These items are going to provide them opportunities to engage in learning while they pretend. Children learn best by playing!

These lessons will give immediate reinforcements of understanding money skills at an early age. Students will learn about money management as well as profits and many other concepts to use when planning a better future. They will learn how powerful those coins and dollars they receive for allowance.
