This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am an elementary math intervention teacher. My job is to work with small groups of students that are struggling in math. Ever since I heard of this kit, I knew I had to have it because I believe it will make a tremendous difference in the student's learning and number sense.

These fact fluency math kits will be a game-changer for my students.

I used a trial of this kit last school year and my students flourished. For the first time, every student was able to participate and WANTED to participate. They were discussing math in different real-world contexts. Math was becoming real, something they could relate to, and enjoy.

Math facts are very important to know for all math classes. It would be wonderful to have the opportunity to expose students to math in a way that they haven't seen before while also building their number sense. I hope that with this kit I am able to also build confidence and a love of math. I am very excited for this project and appreciate any donation toward this goal.
