Building Empathy with Baby Dolls in Kindergarten

Help me give my students a new set of beautiful baby dolls and accessories for our school playroom to practice empathy and caregiving for their younger siblings.

My Project

Our school is located in a lovely multiethnic neighborhood in Brooklyn, NY. For several years our Kindergarten students have looked forward to their time in our playroom. There they can learn social skills while having fun with their friends in our block center, Lego center, dramatic play area, play supermarket and play house. One of their favorite things to do is to play house and practice taking care of our baby dolls. Our current dolls are very well loved and it is time for us to replace them with some new babies!
