Building Empathy & Imagination Through Dramatic Play

Help me give my students a giant treehouse playset and diverse pose & play family figures to support creativity, empathy, and social-emotional learning through imaginative play.

My Project

Thanks to a previously funded project, our classroom now has a beautiful treehouse furniture set—but we don’t yet have the actual treehouse to go with it! The Lakeshore Giant Treehouse would be the perfect addition, giving students the chance to fully engage in imaginative storytelling, collaborative play, and creative exploration. It's open-ended and inviting—ideal for supporting language development, fine motor skills, and cooperation.

Dramatic play is more than fun---it’s how young children build empathy, solve problems, and learn to understand different perspectives.

Along with the Treehouse, the Pose & Play Families Set adds another layer to that experience, offering diverse, flexible figures that allow children to role-play family life in ways that reflect their own identities and broaden their understanding of others.

Together, these resources will create a dramatic play environment where students feel seen, supported, and inspired to imagine, connect, and grow. Thank you for helping us build a space where creativity and compassion flourish!
