Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students come from diverse backgrounds and many face challenges outside of school that make it hard for them to feel safe, connected, and ready to learn. They need more than academics to thrive. They need books that reflect their feelings and experiences, hands-on art projects that let them express themselves, and dramatic play materials that help them practice problem-solving and empathy in a fun, engaging way. I am requesting a Thermal Laminator Machine, Green Monster Hand Puppet, Play-Doh Super Color Set, Glitter, and more.
Social-emotional learning is at the heart of helping kids grow into kind, confident, and resilient individuals.
With the right tools, we can teach them how to recognize emotions, manage big feelings, build friendships, and communicate effectively. These skills do not just help in the classroom, they set them up for success in life.
