My students need arts and craft supplies, including wiggly eyes, glitter shapes, desig-your-own visors, puzzle letters, pom-poms, collage buttons, and wiggly eyes.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Creative is something that all students should be able to develop and exhibit in school. Having materials with which to be able to do this with is a must.
I have 22 young and creative 2nd graders.
Since they are all second language learners, their creativity is something that can be expressed without caring about what language they speak. Our school is a great school that encourages every child to be successful.
My Project
These materials will give my students a broad variety of things to choose from when working on their creativity. They will learn to think outside the box and express themselves better. Seeing all the different projects will show them that every student is unique.
Two of the crafts they will be able to make will be a picture frame and a visor. They will be able to add their own imagination to how they would like these to look like. By using pom poms, wiggly eyes, and stick-on shapes, they will be able to show their unique creativity.
They will be able able to make things and be proud of them.
These materials will also give them the boost they need to share their projects with the class. I want them to be excited about school and learning, and these materials can help us get there.
