This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school, my students faced several challenges both in and out of the classroom. All of my students have been identified with special needs such as autism, developmentally delayed, intellectual disability, language impairment and deaf and hard of hearing. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking for the best classroom tools to provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.
My early childhood special education students are very creative and full of energy.
They like to dance, play and explore new materials. A typical day in our class is based on learning through play. From the minute they walk in the door of my classroom I focus on their potential and growth. I am hopeful to inspire even our earliest learners to continue on a path of academic excellence.
My Project
My students will have the opportunity to be in a classroom where they will have the best teaching tools based on their needs.
This will help my students to be ready to go to kindergarten.
These materials are the best way to enforce and teach turn taking. The light table and manipulatives will help the children create patterns and continue stimulating their minds. The daily use of these tools, help the children to develop their fine motor skills, early literacy, and math skills. Also, they will be able to explore and make their own creations with these materials. Your generosity will positively impact the children's lives.
