My Students
My students come from a low socioeconomic area and face adult like challenges on a daily basis. They come from all walks of life. They are performing on both ends of the learning spectrum in regards to school readiness. Many of my students have little to no parental involvement at home or outside of my classroom.
My students are little sponges that are full of life.
Every morning when they enter my classroom, they strive to learn and explore!
My Project
My students need bean bag chairs and an area rug to create a literacy corner. Most of my students are visual and kinesthetic learners. The use of technology can help students with learning disabilities get a more realistic picture of concepts I'm teaching in class.
Donations for this project will create a designated and inviting corner equipped with tablets and learning software to meet each student needs without wasting paper or buying materials that are costly and become outdated.
This project will improve my classroom by reducing the number of behavioral issues because I will be able to create smaller groups providing the appropriate stimulation for the various learning groups in my class.
