My Project
The Samsung Galaxy tablets I’m requesting will serve as transformative tools for my students with complex communication needs. These tablets will be equipped with specialized augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) apps, empowering my students to express their thoughts, needs, and emotions effectively. Additionally, the tablets will provide access to interactive learning apps, enhancing their ability to engage with academic content and social activities. The portability and user-friendly interface of these devices make them ideal for fostering independence and ensuring consistent communication across school, home, and community settings.
My primary goal is to provide my students with a means to communicate more independently, enabling them to actively participate in lessons, collaborate with peers, and express themselves in meaningful ways.
I also aim to use the tablets as teaching tools for developing language, literacy, and social-emotional skills through targeted apps and activities. With these devices, my students will have opportunities to practice vital skills in real-world contexts, building their confidence and preparing them for future success.
My students are extraordinary in their determination and creativity. Despite facing significant challenges in communication, they show a deep desire to connect with others and learn new things. Each day, they demonstrate resilience, adaptability, and unique perspectives that inspire everyone around them. By providing them with these tablets, I hope to honor their potential and help them unlock the tools they need to thrive.
