With school being so focused on the core subjects and much of the learning computer based, students are so excited to get a chance to just be hands on.
My students get so excited to build birdhouses, try to repair items in the classroom on their own, or just experiment with hammers and nails. My students need more screwdrivers and hammers. Agriscience classes are so much more than learning to raise animals and plant gardens. Agriscience teaches lifelong skills that prepares students to be self-sufficient with the goal of leading to a successful career.
