Help me give my students the Modular Robotics Cubelets Robot Blocks as a tool to help with coding robots.

My Students
I have the privilege of teaching at 4 Title I schools in my district that have diverse populations of students from all over the world. There are students from 10 different countries at my schools. My students enjoy reading, project-based learning activities, robotics and being creative. I have the unique opportunity to teach Horizons, a gifted class at these schools. My students shine when I bring LEGO bricks or electronic kits into a lesson about animals, critical thinking, or problem-solving skills. With our students' economic backgrounds, they don't get many opportunities at home to interact with materials to encourage creative thinking.
My Project
The Cubelets Robotics Curiosity Set is an amazing way to encourage students to explore robotics, coding, design, engineering, and more. The Curiosity Set comes with twelve Cubelets: Battery, 2 Drive, Flashlight, 2 Distance, Brightness, Inverse, Passive, Rotate and Bluetooth Hat Cubelets. The Curiosity Set was also the winner of the Learning Magazine 2020 Teachers’ Choice Award for the Classroom. Cubelets would be a great resource for any classroom that encourages critical thinking and problem-solving.
"If we teach today's students are we taught yesterday's, we rob them of tomorrow." John Dewey.
This quote has been part of my classroom philosophy for years. I always encourage students to take chances and to never give up on a dream. I plan to use the Curiosity Set to in Kindergarten through 5th-grade classrooms to introduce students to robotics, coding, design and engineering concepts. For the first lesson, I will give each group of students 3 Cubelets with different functions. Students will have to explore their Cubelets to find out what function they perform. For the following lessons, I will teach students the different functions of each Cubelet and assign students different building projects to complete. For a final project, each group will have the opportunity to use all the Cubelet blocks to complete a robot playground with different Cubelets performing different tasks.
