This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This year I am super excited because I have noticed that my students love reading books. Even my struggling students are choosing books with pictures that they can read. As a teacher I am a firm believer in fostering learning by providing students with diverse stories and information that cater to a wide range of interests and needs.
Our classroom library is in dire need of a makeover (hence my request for a paper cutter to make the labels) and a variety of age appropriate and interest -driven books for my group of readers. My goal is to have an organized library with labeled bins to make it accessible and inviting so that students will be motivated to get books that will help them to thrive academically and personally.
