This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our Pre-K classroom, our youngest learners are beginning their educational journey while overcoming challenges such as poverty and language barriers. Despite these obstacles, they come to school each day eager to learn and grow. We have a particularly bright group of students this year and many of our students have already mastered letters and sounds, and are ready to take those first exciting steps toward becoming readers.
We are seeking Bob Books to give our students the tools they need to succeed.
These books are designed to help emerging readers build confidence with simple words, repetition, and gradual progression. We will be using these books in small groups and with their help endeavor to empower our students to see themselves as capable readers—no matter the obstacles they face. With your support, we can not only teach reading skills but inspire a lifelong love of learning.
