This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach in a Title I school where every student has incredible potential, but resources are often limited. My classroom is full of curious, energetic learners who are eager to explore the world through math and science. This will be my first year teaching these subjects exclusively, and I want to make sure my students have access to the materials they need to be successful.

Many of my students face challenges outside the classroom, but when they step into our learning space, I want them to feel inspired, supported, and equipped to thrive.

Having a well-equipped classroom allows students to learn in a variety of ways, visually, hands-on, collaboratively, and independently. In math, students can strengthen their problem-solving skills and see real-life applications by using magnetic base-ten blocks and math cubes. In science, they can investigate, question, and make connections to the world around them while using dry-erase boards, markers, and paper.

By funding this project, you will help create a learning space where students feel confident and excited about tackling challenging concepts. You’ll also be supporting a teacher stepping into a new role with the tools needed to make lessons meaningful and engaging.

Your contribution will give my students the resources they deserve to become critical thinkers, innovators, and lifelong learners.
