This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our kindergarten classroom, we are building the foundation for our future mathematicians! To help our young learners thrive, we are seeking support to add essential math manipulatives that will make learning both hands-on and fun. Items like calendar math sets, number keys to match, ten-frames, subitizing dice, and other math tools will allow our students to explore key math concepts in a tactile way. By using these tools, our kindergarteners will develop counting skills, build conceptual understanding, and engage in interactive learning that will set them up for success in their math journey.

Math is more than just numbers—it’s about finding confidence and discovering a personal connection to problem-solving.

With the right tools, our students will not only practice essential math skills but will also begin to form their math identity. The journey to becoming a mathematician starts with the first number we count. Help us build a love for math that will last a lifetime.
