Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Introducing STEM supplies like a magnet station, gravity maze, and different building sets will profoundly impact student learning. These tools offer hands-on experiences that enhance understanding and engagement in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) subjects.
By providing hands-on experiences, we empower students to take ownership of their learning and develop essential skills for the future.
Together, these STEM supplies will help me create a dynamic learning environment where students are actively engaged in discovery.
The magnet station allows students to explore magnetic principles, such as attraction and repulsion, and understand electromagnetism. Through hands-on manipulation of magnets, they gain insight into physics concepts in a tangible way.
The gravity maze introduces students to gravity and motion concepts as they design and build mazes. This activity develops spatial reasoning, fine motor skills, and resilience as students solve challenges.
Similarly, the K'NEX set promotes creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking. With endless construction possibilities, students learn about engineering principles and problem-solving as they design and build structures.
