This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have the privilege of guiding and inspiring a classroom full of bright and eager fifth-grade minds. My students come from low-income households, and although they may face challenges outside of school, they arrive each day filled with curiosity and a strong desire to learn. One of my greatest goals is to help them tap into their creativity, build strong character, and explore the world around them.
To create a vibrant and well-organized learning environment, I’m seeking essential tools such as earphones, book bins, colorful tape, clipboards, lamination, and labels.
Earphones will support focused, independent learning during technology-based lessons, while book bins will keep students’ materials tidy and within reach. Colorful tape can be used to define learning zones and organize supplies, making the space both functional and visually engaging. Clipboards will allow students to move freely and work in flexible areas around the classroom. Laminated materials will provide durability and ensure resources last throughout the year. With clearly labeled items, students will take responsibility for their materials and stay organized. These tools will help build an inviting, structured classroom where students are empowered to learn, grow, and take ownership of their success.
