This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
For most of my children, this is their first experience being away from home and being separated from their families. Being away from home is difficult for most students but compounded with the pandemic, it can be a traumatic experience, none the less they come to school each day, full of energy, curiosity, excited to be here and ready to learn and play! To them, school is a place where they feel safe, loved, and valued. This difficult transition is also affected by their already existing life circumstances.
100 % of our children come from low-income households and receive free breakfast and lunch.
With the right help, you can help inspire our children to become future scientists, doctors, explorers, and inventors as they learn through play.
My Project
This is our little one’s first experience in a classroom setting where it is critical that they learn routines and procedures and develop organizational skills to help them have a successful school year. The brightly colored supply caddies, paper trays and book bins will help them stay organized and feel confident and independent as they easily associate a specific color bins and caddies with their own workspace.
Having a workspace filled with their own caddies, trays and bins to call their own will help them keep all their things organized as well as help them become more independent.
These supplies will help our little one's store their supplies, books, and materials.
