My students need an Abacus, Liquid Timer, Beyond Centers and Circle Time activity guide and HP Officejet 4650 Printer with the XL Ink Bundle in order to capture the memories of their learning experience.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students that I serve have delays in at least two areas of development. They may have Autism, Cerebral Palsy, ADHD etc. We are a Title I school which serves students of low income families.
The majority of our students receive free breakfast, reduced and/or free lunch.
They have limited resources and will greatly benefit from the use of technology and other resources and materials in order to maximize their education and allow them to grasp the concept of the world around them and abroad.
My Project
Exploring with these materials our children will be able to use concrete items in order to count as they physically move the rings in the Abacus, begin to learn the passage of time as they use the visual timer while they work on carefully planned activities initiated by their interest and enhanced as the activities guide is used. All these wonderful learning experiences will be captured by taking snap shots and printed on the printer in order to observe their daily progress and overall learning and enjoyment during their busy school day.
Through a busy and joyful school day, the children will grasp the concept of learning by exploring and creating a variety of new experiences.
We will provide children with materials that perhaps aren't available in their home environment and awaken their curiosity. As their teacher, I aim for the children to engage with one another through positive experiences by using a variety of materials. Children will be able to learn through play and be able to explore the world around them as they continue to grow and expand their knowledge.
