Building Bridges, Sailing Boats, and Exploring Plants!
Help me give my students with the essential materials for building bridges, designing boats, and investigating plants as they prepare for their science projects!
My name is Ms. Forfieda, and I am fortunate to teach an incredible group of students in a diverse and vibrant community. My class is a beautiful mix of Asian, American, Mexican, Samoan, Native Alaskan, and Russian students, each bringing unique perspectives and experiences to our learning environment. They are naturally curious, creative, and eager to learn, especially when given opportunities for hands-on exploration.
This project will provide my students with essential materials to construct bridges, design boats, and investigate plant growth, allowing them to apply scientific concepts in real-world scenarios.
My students are naturally curious, creative, and eager to learn, especially when given the opportunity for hands-on exploration. This project will provide them with the essential materials to construct bridges, design boats, and investigate plant growth, allowing them to apply scientific concepts in real-world scenarios. Through these activities, they will develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and engineering skills while deepening their understanding of physics, buoyancy, structural integrity, and plant biology. Given our school's remote location and limited funding for materials, this project will bridge the gap between theory and practice, ensuring that my students have the resources they need to thrive. My goal is to inspire them to think like scientists and engineers, fostering a love for STEM that will carry into their future careers. With your support, these incredible students, who consistently exceed expectations when engaged in hands-on learning, will have the opportunity to explore, create, and innovate in ways that will shape their academic journey.
