Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students crave knowledge. They are curious thinkers who love challenges. They are full of energy and eager to learn and play. I am a huge believer that play is often an overlooked essential piece of kindergarten that helps develop a life-long love of learning. It is crucial to encourage STEM learning early in elementary school so that the process of inquiry is integral to STEM that is the way young children naturally learn. Young children explore, ask questions, and discuss their observations.
My Project
My students need hands on science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) activities to support their learning and engage their creative minds. With today's society, technology is becoming a dominant intelligence that needs to be fostered with our young students. It is crucial to encourage STEM learning early in elementary school so that the process of inquiry is integral to STEM that is the way young children naturally learn. Young children explore, ask questions, and discuss their observations. Naturally, young children are curious about exploration and experimentation. Ideally, I would like to build proficiency in the classroom by having activities such as a STEM kits and materials.
