This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Pretend play allows children to take the lead, make choices, and explore new roles! It can boost their confidence and sense of independence. This type of imaginative and facilitated play encourages students to trust their abilities and foster a positive self-image and confidence. They are working but also having fun!
Incorporating Melissa and Doug's pretend play toys into students' routines can significantly enhance their developmental journey, and equip students with essential skills for both academic and personal success.
Pretend play is extremely important for student development. Our classroom has worked to create an environment where our special needs students can become aware of imagination and also foster the importance of learning through play!
