Building Brains with Bots: Rural Coding & Robotics Elective

Help me give my students power by launching a robotics and coding elective that builds critical thinking, teamwork, and future-ready skills through a hands-on curriculum.

My Project

My Students

My middle school students are curious, creative, and full of potential.

They attend a small rural school in Oklahoma, where resources are limited but imagination is endless. These 7th and 8th graders are eager to explore technology, but many have never had access to robotics or hands-on coding instruction—until now.

My Project

This project will help bring our new Coding and Robotics Elective to life by providing foundational tools and resources for learning real-world tech skills. These materials will allow students to build, code, experiment, and solve problems together. Whether they’re programming a robot mouse to follow a maze or learning how circuits work, students will be engaged in meaningful, hands-on learning.

Here’s what we’re requesting:

Makeblock mBot2 Coding Robot Kit – Ideal for teaching structured programming in upper middle school grades.

Crazy Circuits Coding Kit – Introduces coding, logic, and circuits through a modular system perfect for beginners.

Code & Go Robot Mouse Classroom Set – Provides a playful, visual introduction to basic programming and problem-solving.

Robobloq Q-Scout Robot – A beginner-friendly robot that uses Scratch, Arduino, and Python.

Bots! Robotics Engineering Book Set (Qty 5) – A fun and informative book that explores robotics through makerspace-style activities.

The Impact

With these tools, my students will gain exposure to coding, robotics, and engineering in a way that is interactive and inspiring. These aren’t just kits—they're gateways into future careers. For students in a rural setting with limited access to STEM enrichment, this opportunity could be the spark that launches a lifelong passion for technology.

Thank you for believing in the power of hands-on learning and for investing in students who are ready to build, explore, and code their futures
