Building Blocks, Roads, And Cars For Little Builders!
Help me give my students cardboard blocks and accessories for the block area where they can enjoy creating structures and develop interdisciplinary skills.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Hi! I am asking for cardboard blocks and block area accessories such as wooden cards and road tape for my preschool class block area. Our block area currently has very old blocks that I fear can cause splinters so I have removed many. I need new cardboard blocks that will be both safe and light for stacking. My preschool students this year truly love the block area and are always using their imagination building cool structures. However, they would truly love the cardboard blocks because I can actually allow them to stack higher without the fear of them getting hurt.
The block area is such a popular area ,and I love it because it is where students get a chance to develop social skills like sharing, taking turns, team working, and more.
My students would truly appreciate these classic preschool materials as it becomes remarkable part of their preschool experience. As a 2nd year teacher, I am looking to build my classroom to be as academically effective and enjoyable as possible. Many of these students come from low-income homes and lack these kinds of experiences at home so I am trying best to create something new for them here in the classroom. Thank you in advance!
