My Project

Hi, I’m Ms. Tovar, a bilingual kindergarten teacher entering my second year in the classroom. My students are bright, curious, and eager to learn in both English and Spanish. Many of them are learning to read, write, and count while also acquiring a second language, which means they require intentional, hands-on support every single day. The resources I’m requesting, like a laminator and pouches, will help me create durable, reusable visuals that bring consistency and structure to their learning. Bilingual books are not just stories; they are mirrors that reflect my students’ identities and windows into new language and culture. Dry erase boards and markers allow us to practice skills in real-time and correct mistakes without fear. Math counters and magnetic ten frames are essential for building early numeracy skills through movement and play, key for young bilingual learners. Your donation won’t just buy supplies—it will build confidence, spark curiosity, and empower my students to succeed in two languages.
