My students are creative thinkers who struggle with writing. We will use their creative minds and playful ideas to develop their writing. Step 1. They will build with Lego Step 2. They will photograph their build to keep it with them Step 3. They will use the photograph and the input pf their collaborators to write a descriptive narrative regarding their creation.
Generating ideas with creative play before engaging in writing about their ideas will support my young writers and help them get excited about their writing.
