My Project
Learning loss post-COVID is real! I am noticing that my second graders are struggling to read fluently and about half of my class is reading at a kindergarten level or below. Finding books that are meaningful and on-level for them is hard!
Fluency is vital to making good readers, and students must have books they can read independently to become fluent readers! Being able to provide fun and inviting books they can select to read during independent reading time builds better, more confident readers.
Help me develop a love of reading in my sweet second graders by providing books they can actually read!
