My Project

These materials will allow students to work collaboratively in teams as they overcome the challenges of returning to a classroom setting after being isolated during COVID-19.

Students will not only learn how the ancient Romans used aqueducts to bring fresh drinking water into their cities, but will be able to use the drinking straws to create aqueducts of their own.

Water will be transported from one end of table on a raised platform (acting as mountains) through obstacles to the other end of table acting as the city below.

In addition, using the popsicle sticks and rubber bands, students will be able to create catapults and overcome the difficulties knights faced as they laid siege to castles of their era. Students will be challenged to launch a projectile over castle walls.
