Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My classroom is full of 6 year olds that love learning!! They are full of energy and love to play! I try to make learning as fun as possible, they think they are playing games in my class but, in reality they are learning.
Our school is committed to providing all of our students with a quality education that will challenge all of our students to reach their full potential so that they can be fully prepared to face the challenges of the dynamic world we live in.
My Project
Every time I plan a lesson for my first graders I always wonder what the best way to reach them will be.
Kids need to be fully engaged in order to understand difficult concepts such as geometry.
First graders learn geometry concepts such as edge, face, vertices, solid shapes, plane shapes and their characteristics and there is no better way to learn than to make and explore their own 3D shapes. These activities also give
Students the opportunity to be creative and work in cooperative groups. Students
Learn better when they share ideas. These tiles will give students endless opportunities to use their imagination and be creative thinkers, problem solvers and team players.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
