My Students

I am teaching Pre-K in a NYC public school. I have 13 students. I am trying to help foster my students' expressive language, reading skills, problem solving skills and their love of discovering and asking questions. For many, this is their first school experience and it is the perfect opportunity to not only encourage my students to read books and talk about them, but also to help them build their confidence as speakers, listeners, learners, and explorers. However, this requires a lot of supplies and I would really appreciate your support in getting these. I want to continue to instill a love of learning and risk-taking that will last each of them a lifetime!

My Project

My students enjoy building with blocks and creating stories with their friends. The Our Town Lego set will be perfect in the beginning of the year. I can use it to introduce academic based vocabulary and encourage interaction with my students. It comes with vehicles and other items that are familiar to my students. The Community People Lego set will be amazing! It will help to create a hands on way introduce people that work in our community. Children love Lego's and I would really appreciate your support in helping me to make learning through play both fun and educationally beneficial.
