My Students

This past year and a half has been like never before. Students have had to learn remotely and face their own individual challenges each day. With limited interaction and collaboration among their peers, students are facing challenges both emotionally and academically.

With a new influx of Kindergarten learners this school year, I am looking for ways to welcome students and empower them through a diverse selection of literature.

I have been extremely lucky to have a class full of problem solvers who are also looking for ways to be engaged in more hands-on learning experiences. Each day may bring a new challenge, but Kindergarteners are a resilient and flexible group!

My Project

With the new school year approaching, I am looking for ways to diversify the classroom library. As a third year teacher, I am working on building my own classroom library that students can be proud of.

As a result, I am constantly trying to incorporate more diverse and inclusive literature to the classroom library.

Be the reason my students can have access to different perspectives. Help my students see themselves reflected in the books they read. Together, we can help young readers become excited about the material they read and encourage thoughtful discussions.
