My Project
Hello all! I am starting out as a first year teacher at a school that serves many low income students! In the past, I have worked in a Special Education classroom, so I understand the importance of having engaging instruction that incorporates Social and Emotional Learning.
These supplies will help first graders foster a love of learning, creativity, and excitement about coming to school; I firmly believe that it is primary education that sets the tone for all future learning!
My goal is to create a safe and welcoming classroom where students feel a sense of belonging and community to better connect with their learning.
I am asking for various social emotional tools and books, to support students overall learning and well being. I am asking for books to help establish a lifelong love of reading. I am also asking for school supplies, as many of my students come from low-income households and will not be able to afford back-to-school items. I am asking for a standing desk to better engage and teach my students, and so that I can move fluidly in the classroom while teaching.
