it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The requested materials will help create vertical white board work stations in a thinking classroom. To build a thinking classroom model, the classroom is supposed to be de-fronted. This is different than the standard classroom model that has been long used. Students spend most of the time out of their seats working in pairs at vertical white board stations. The classroom is supposed to be mostly student led through collaboration, exploration, and discussion. In order to accomplish this in my own classroom, I need to build approximately 10 vertical white board work stations. These supplies will give the students dry erase markers, eraser cloths, magnets for hanging materials, and dry erase display sheets for their workstations.
