Building a Super STEM Thinking Classroom from Scratch!

Help me give my students math manipulatives, books about math, building materials and flexible seating options in a new classroom!

My Project

Littles are the best!! They are curious and ready to explore and learn. But I'm changing grades, schools and classrooms this year. Providing my students with a variety of math manipulatives, building materials, and books will greatly enhance their desire to think in new ways and engage with their peers in cooperative projects. We'll learn more than math facts with real world problem-solving and get young minds to be creative for the world of the future.

We will be building a thinking classroom from scratch.

We will use the whiteboard vertical surfaces and lots of math manipulatives with a partner (and learn how to share ideas and materials), to think about and draw mathematical representations.

Flexible seating options allow each child to work in the way that they feel most comfortable and productive. Some students work best standing, others seated on the floor, and some at traditional chairs and tables.
