Building a Strong Foundation: Books for First Grade Readers
Help me give my students the opportunity to grow into confident, lifelong readers, with a variety of high-interest, age-appropriate books to expand our classroom library.
My students are eager, curious first graders who are developing essential reading skills. To help them grow into confident, lifelong readers, I am requesting a variety of high-interest, age-appropriate books to expand our classroom library.
My students come from diverse backgrounds and bring unique perspectives to our classroom community.
They are enthusiastic learners who benefit from hands-on, engaging resources that support their learning. For many of them, the books they read at school are their primary exposure to literature.
Research shows that access to rich classroom libraries boosts reading achievement, vocabulary development, and comprehension. By providing a wide range of fiction and nonfiction books—at various reading levels and featuring diverse characters and topics—I can offer every child a chance to find books that interest and inspire them.
With your support, I can give my students the tools they need to build strong literacy skills and a lifelong love of reading. Thank you for helping bring the joy of books into our classroom!
