This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our bilingual 4th grade classroom, my students thrive on curiosity, compassion, and a genuine love for learning. Every day, I am inspired by how open and kind they are—not only to me but also to each other.
My students value the diverse experiences and perspectives that come with being bilingual.
However, our classroom library currently lacks a sufficient variety of Spanish books to support their bilingual learning journey. To nurture their growth, I am requesting donations of Spanish books and bins to organize and expand our library.
Spanish books will provide my students with essential practice in their native language, building both fluency and confidence. They will help students strengthen their vocabulary, comprehension skills, and cultural awareness. Meanwhile, the bins will create an orderly system that allows students to independently access and care for the books, fostering responsibility and a sense of ownership. Thank you for considering supporting our classroom library and making a lasting impact on these young, bright minds.
