Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are developing early literacy skills and need books that match their sensory, emotional, and cognitive needs. Sensory books—with textures, flaps, sounds, and interactive elements—make reading come alive for children who benefit from multisensory experiences. These books help them stay focused, engaged, and excited about learning.
In addition to sensory books, we need library essentials such as book bins, soft seating, and visual labels to make our classroom library organized and welcoming.
A well-designed reading space gives my students the freedom to explore books in a way that suits their learning style and sensory preferences.
