Help me give my students a place to belong at school by participating in esports. These Switches and controllers will give more students an opportunity to become a part of the school community through gaming.
Currently, our school does not have enough equipment in the building that allows us to run practices and matches. We alternate between playing remotely at home or at a local gaming cafe we have to pay hourly for. We are looking for a better, dedicated space at school to call home. Having more equipment will help give us legitimacy by finding a more permanent space to house our equipment. Also, many potential esports athletes at our school do not have equipment at home either. By having the equipment in the building, we can remove the barrier of cost and privilege for many of our students.
With your help, we can create a home for many students who would not normally participate in traditional school activities.
We can get students into a team environment, out of their homes and with other people, learning teamwork, and social skills, and exposing them to potential job opportunities in the gaming and tech industry.
