This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach two English Language Arts classes for 2nd grade and everyday is new adventure.

My students are always eager and ready to learn for the day.

100% of students receive free breakfast and lunch. Our students live in a low economic neighborhood and most do not come to school with the supplies they need. However this does not stop their thirst for knowledge.

I love to see their excitement for learning and they are always motivating me to be the best I can because they deserve the best!

My Project

The novel Ghost Don't Eat Potato Chips will help student reach their goal to learn the difference between fiction and non-fiction.

This novel study students will be able think critically and be able to discuss if the mystery surrounding a creepy house is a ghost or something else using text evidence and real life situations.

Our students are often asking for fun books to read to learn our different standards. We introduced a few chapter books to the students and they chose Ghost Don't Eat Potato Chips as the story they would like to read to complete our novel study.
